Make The Label Count

As a group, we were asked to come up with a new label for clothing garments. In order to make a new label we had to do our own research by looking back through the notes we had taken as well in conducting our survey. As you can see to the left is the bale that we came up with and some of the important labels that should be on the tag.

Some of our information came from a survey that we conducted and had people take. To the right, we highlighted some important statistics from the survey. As one can see of the 140 people who took the survey 136 preferred cotton over any other fibers. We really wanted to get a feel of what was most important to others and not just what we felt should be on the tag. Another thing we wanted to add was the number of wear tally as it was a way people could see what kind of lifecycle they could get out of their garments.

This project was interesting and fun to do as we got to think about our own label idea. We did stick to a label that is common in many clothes but the added tally mark was what made it different.
