IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!

IT'S ALL ABOUT ME!

In my first year, I just pursued a general studies degree. Eventually, I switched over to Education. During this time I had the opportunity once again to work in a classroom at my old Elementry School. This time it was longer than 90 minutes and with a 2nd-grade class made up of students who had learning disabilities and English as a second language. Although as 2020 came to a close and the semester before I graduated from John Tyler Community College (BrightPoint), I decided to change my degree and no longer go down the Education path. Although I love children and adored working in the classroom, I realized that wasn't the path I wanted to follow.

I started to look back on my time in high school and how much I enjoyed Fashion Marketing. During that time we put on fashion shows, where we came up with the show theme, segments, and stage design, and even some students designed their outfits. Remembering these moments and being in contact with my high school teacher (Ms. Hardison) made me realize I wanted to pursue Fashion Merchandising. I am currently finishing up this journey at VCU.
